The RCCO provides support to its members in the development and practice of fine organ and choral performance and sound church musicianship, and strives to promote these interests in the wider Canadian public.
Organ Canada, the College’s official quarterly journal, furnishes a uniquely Canadian perspective, on the College's life and work and the broader world of the organ and its music.
Examinations are held annually to test and provide recognition for achievement in organ performance and musical knowledge.
Festivals offer opportunities for members to participate in workshops on a wide variety of topics, and to discuss subjects of mutual interest and concern with friends and colleagues, and for the general public to enjoy world class recitalists from Canada and abroad.
The College sponsors music publications, high quality organ and choral works by Canadian composers. More information is available in the RCCO Store.
Members and potential employers may access advice and information in matters pertaining to church employment, both through professional support officers and a nationwide network of colleagues.
Local recitals, workshops and other events are sponsored in communities across the country by local branches or Centres.
Canada has a rich heritage of organ building, with instruments dating back to the early 19th century. In a bid to acknowledge and publicise historic instruments across the country, and prevent their loss, the RCCO instituted its Historic Organs program.
