OrgelkidsCAN brings children on a voyage of discovery that comes in a box.
Children are empowered to discover how the organ is made and how it works by assembling a working pipe organ. The Orgelkit, beautifully crafted by Canada’s Orgues Létourneau, can be built in under an hour with the help of our assembly instructions.
The Orgelkit is carefully designed to be appealing and educational to children, challenging and encouraging them to discover and ask questions while building it hands-on. The constructed pipe organ is playable and applies the music and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) skills that children are learning in school.
OrgelkidsCAN's organ is a mechanical two rank pipe organ in a box.
The Orgelkit comes with a complete set of illustrated assembly instructions plus a number of educational resources. It is designed to be assembled and disassembled over and over again, letting children discover how it’s made and how it goes together.
The Orgelkit can be used by schools, libraries, music festivals, science fairs, and community groups, making the King of Instruments accessible to children everywhere.
OrgelkidsCAN is a community outreach program of the Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO), a non-profit charitable arts organization representing a community with a passion for the organ and its music.
With dedicated volunteers across Canada, OrgelkidsCAN is the RCCO’s way of offering a unique hands-on educational experience to children nationwide.
