This is a fairly extended three-movement work (c. 15 minutes) with ample opportunity for all players to shine. The first movement Allegro moderato includes an expressive middle section and a pedal cadenza. The slow movement begins with a reed solo on the organ, alternating with soft passages for organ and strings. The rousing Finale again includes a softer, expressive section.
