Welcome! The Hamilton Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists connects almost 100 organists, church musicians and organ enthusiasts in the Hamilton, Ontario, area, from Grimsby to Guelph, from Flamborough to Oakville, all points between, and some afar. Our dynamic Centre provides social events, concerts, organ outreach and awareness events, and educational programmes to our members and to the public. We welcome all RCCO members and non-members to our events.

LAST SEASON 2016-2017 EVENTS
Wednesday September 14th at 7:00 pm. Our new season began with a Wine and Cheese get-together at St Matthew-on-the Plains Anglican Church 126 Plains Rd East, Burlington. There was also be a sale of music, CDs and music-related books.
Saturday October 1st -- WHY TAKE A COLLEGE EXAM?
Find some good reasons at an Exam Information Seminar, on Saturday October 1st, from 10am till noon, at Westdale United Church. Two experienced RCCO examiners, Mark Toews and Simon Irving, will step you through what is involved, and give examples of the standards required to pass both the written and practical sections. Focus will be on the Colleague Diploma (CRCCO) and Service Playing Certificate. Click here for more details and how to enrol.
Friday October 28th 7:30 pm - HALLOWEEN CONCERT. St Paul's Presbyterian Church will again host this concert, which is open to the public - pay what you can. Kids of all ages enjoy the spooky organ music, played by members.
Sunday November 13th 7:30 pm - ORGAN CONCERT. Stephen Boda, recent winner of the Fairclough Competition, performs an engaging program at Central Presbyterian Church, Charlton Avenue. Stephen will include repertoire he will perform at the Canadian International Organ Competition in Montreal the following week. Admisison at door $15/$25 couples and families/$10 students.
Saturday January 7th 2017- 6:30 for 7 pm TWELFTH NIGHT FEAST. Again we will be at St Christopher's Church in Burlington. Pot-luck - always a real feast. The usual challenging and amusing quiz will be offered - this year by Christopher Hunt.
Saturday 25th February. CHORAL WORKSHOP AND WORSHIP with Dr. Mark Sirett - . Dr Sirett will lead a workshop covering vocal techniques and effective performance, using as repertoire some of his own compositions plus selected others. The College Chaplain, Rev Sherman Hesselgrave, will lead the worship offering of readings and music at 3 pm. Up to 60 choristers may enrol; lunch is provided and the music will be yours to keep. Cost $20. Location is St Jude's, Oakville - enrollment details later.
Sunday May 7th HAUPTWERK HOUSE ORGAN. Open house from 2 till 4pm at the home of Stephane Potvin, 22 Holmes Ave Hamilton L8S 2K6. See what the remarkable Hauptwerk software can do.
Saturday May 13th - STUDENT RECITAL. 10:30 am St Joseph's RC Church, Locke and Herkimer. . Contact Stillman Matheson to enrol.
Saturday May 27th - PEDALS PIPES and PIZZA: St. James Anglican Church, Dundas. This is an outreach event designed to attract teenagers who could be interested in finding out more about the organ and getting some hands-on expereince. Details TBA
Wednesday June 14th - ANNUAL DINNER AND GENERAL MEETING. 6:30 for 7 pm at MacNab Presbyterian Church, 116 MacNab St. Speaker - Dr Peter Nikiforuk. Four-course dinner, with punch. Cost $25.
