Welcome! The Hamilton Centre of the Royal Canadian College of Organists connects over 100 organists, church musicians and organ enthusiasts in the Hamilton, Ontario, area from Grimsby to Guelph, from Flamborough to Oakville, all points between, and some afar.  Our dynamic Centre provides social events, organ outreach and awareness events, and educational programmes to our members and to the public. We welcome all RCCO members and non-members to our events.

The Howard Fairclough Organ Competition

The Howard Fairclough Organ Competition is administered jointly by the Hamilton Community Foundation and the Royal Canadian College of Organists Hamilton Centre. The Howard Fairclough Organ Scholarship Fund was established at the Hamilton Community Fondation in memory of Howard Fairclough, by a bequest from his parents, Ellen and Gordon Fairclough. The pourpose of the Fund is to benefit young people with talent and the potential to become professional level organists.

The competition was held on May 15, 2010 at Centenary United Church in Hamilton. First prize of $1,500 was awarded to Aaron James and second prize of $500 to Matthew Coons. Adjudicators were Jan Overduin, Philip Sarabura and Brent Fifield.
